'I Have A Dream' Fundraiser 2015 Valentines Ball

On February 21st, the Because of Jenna Trust held it's ninth and largest annual Fundraising Gala for the very first time at a new venue - Mangrove, St Philip (compliments Barry & Fiona Gale). We wish to take this opportunity to thank John and Rain Chandler for hosting this event for the past several years, however, due to their recent relocation to Landcaster House, Fisherpond Great House is no longer an option. Almost 450 guests attended this event as the new venue allowed us the opportunity to host a larger number of patrons. Barry & Fiona have joined our organizing committee and in addition, offered their property for the purpose of the gala.

 

This year, thanks to kind auspices of patrons (and guests) Bill and Haley Blevins, everyone enjoyed an amazing performance by the world-renowed FABBAGIRLS. Additionally, Sir Cliff Richard once again wowed the crowd with a super-energised performance of several of his "hits". The Trustees join me in thanking the Blevins' and Sir Cliff for their kind support of our cause. Also, thanks to Mr Russ Abbot for agreeing to be our auctioneer for the evening.

Two of "our" children, Colby Roach and Brianna Skeete, received a generous donation from The Sandy Lane Charitable Trust. The cheque was presented by Pippa Challis, representative for this trust.

 

The gala was a huge success and as mentioned, our largest to date. We would like to thank everyone who participated in any way to ensure this success and look forward to next year's event which is slated for February 13th, 2016.
